Dewa Distillery, located in Oguni-machi, Yamagata, is surrounded by magnificent mountains of Bandai-Asahi National Park.he distillery is surrounded by pristine forests and embraced by abundant nature.Oguni-machi has rainy summers and winters with heaviest snow.During winter, snow falls to a depth of not less than two meters in the central part of the town.Furthermore, especially in some mountainous areas, the snowfall can be as much as five meters. Thanks to the abundant rain and snow, the land of Oguni-machi stores abundant water, an essential resource that nurtures plants and animals of its forests as well as providing us with many blessings.Blessed with a cold, wet climate and clean water sources, the whisky produced in this town is exceptional.
